The Center for Research in Neurobiology and Neurophysiology of Marseille (CRN2M) invites applications for early-career scientists who wish to establish themselves as an internationally competitive, independent principal investigator.
The CRN2M, a Center of 50 scientists, is a leading research institute for the study of Neuroscience, Neuroendocrinology and Neuroimmunology.
The overall research activity at CRN2M combines basic and translational research and integrates molecular, cellular and physiological levels. It covers several aspects of ion channels’ neurobiology, synaptic transmission and glial regulation and important areas in terms of public health, including pain, respiratory pathologies, neuroimmune demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases as well as neuroendocrine disorders. Research is ultimately aimed at developing new therapeutic tools and diagnostic approaches through interfaces with hospital departments.
The CRN2M provides an exciting scientific environment, and benefits from core funding of the CNRS and the Aix-Marseille University. The CRN2M is located in the school of Medecine of Marseille in the North Campus, and is connected to Marseille hospitals. In addition to CRN2M, the North Campus includes two other research units (UNIS and NICN), constituting a prominent hub dedicated to Neurosciences.
The scientific environment is supported by scientific core facilities including Microscopy and Imaging, Proteomics and transgenic animal house, as well as a basic to clinical Research interface. For more information, please visit our web site : http://crn2m.univ-mrs.fr/
